The success of Acton Community Supper and Food Pantry Inc. depends on the dedication of its 100+ member volunteer crew.
The pantry is open to clients Wednesdays and Thursdays, but we also have a variety of tasks outside of our Distribution Hours for which we need volunteers:
Food Pick-up at local donations sites
Sorting and storing food/other donations at the Pantry
Driving the delivery truck into Boston
Unloading Greater Boston Food Bank Deliveries
Assisting clients as a shopper aide
Wednesday/Thursday food distribution

Pantry work can be challenging. Among the many tasks, volunteers need to be able to stand for long periods of time, to lift and move heavy things, interact with a wide variety of people, think on their feet, maintain a sense of decorum and confidentiality.
